Back to School Information
Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year. I am extremely excited to be returning to Newland Elementary for what I know will be a fantastic year! The faculty and staff at Newland are dedicated to creating a safe and orderly learning environment where each student may achieve to the highest ability. It is our goal to work in partnership with the community and parents to produce students who will be well educated citizens of our future communities. Cooperation and communication between the school and home play a major part of any child’s success, so please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We hope this will be an enjoyable, positive and productive year for your child. Once again, I'd like to welcome you to Newland for the 2015 – 2016 year. I, along with the entire staff, am eagerly looking forward to what is sure to be a wonderful year.
Here is some other important information:
We have also teamed up with Brick by Brick, a non-profit organization which offers the opportunity to purchase school items directly on-line, with items generally 50% below retail price, while helping support Newland, all at the same time. This allows families to avoid shopping and waiting in lines, while offering the chance to complete your back to school shopping in less than two minutes! More information can be found by clicking on the Brick-by-Brick website, and then clicking on the parent button once at the website.
NEWLAND NAMED 2014 NATIONAL BLUE RIBBON SCHOOL
I cannot truly express how honored and proud I am of all of all of the teachers, students, and staff, past and present, at Newland. From the moment I stepped on campus, I have known the people who work and volunteer at Newland are of Blue Ribbon quality. Additionally, we have some amazing students who awe me daily. Newland receiving the National Blue Ribbon Award is another validation of what parents, teachers, our community, and I have known for some time... Newland is AWESOME!
Parents, PTA has set up a website where you can purchase membership, spirit wear, 100 mile club and yearbooks online.
